MEDIA RELEASE: Talaria Asset Management has appointed Elizabeth Ninness to the role of Chief Operating Officer starting on January 16.

To be based in Talaria’s Melbourne office, Ms Ninness will lead the expanding business team and support the strong growth of the Talaria Global Equity Fund. She replaces Rhys Cahill who has been in the role since November 2020 and follows on from the appointment of Lance Oliver as Head of Sales in December 2022.

Ms Ninness joins Talaria from NAB where since November 2020 she was a member of the leadership team that oversaw a large-scale remediation program following the 2014 ASIC Wealth Management Project.

Other previous experience includes various operational roles at Digecom Solutions, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Macquarie Group and Ord Minnett Limited.

Talaria CEO Jamie Mead says Ms Ninness brings invaluable knowledge and experience to the team.

“With over two decades of global financial services experience across a range of sectors, with roles covering operational management, strategy, risk management, compliance and audit, Elizabeth will be a great asset to the Talaria team,” Mr Mead says.

Ms Ninness holds a Master of Finance and Investment from FINSIA and a Global Executive MBA from IE Business School. In addition, she holds a range of certificates including FinTech from Harvard, Risk Management Assurance from IIA, Islamic Finance from CIMA and a Non-Executive Director Certification from the Non-Executive Director Association in the UK.
