Nominate now: Future2 Foundation’s 2025 grants program boosts financial wellbeing
Nominations are now open for the Future2 Foundation’s 2025 Make the Difference! Grants Program, which supports grassroots initiatives that improve the financial wellbeing of Australians in need. Nominations close on 21 August 2025.
Financial services professionals can nominate local causes close to their hearts to receive a grant of up to $15,000 for programs that support financial wellbeing for Australians in need and align with one or more of the following categories:
Julie Berry CFP, chair of the Future2 Foundation, said the Foundation welcomes nominations from people in the financial services industry for causes that are working hard to improve the financial wellbeing of Australians in need.
“We hope that as many financial services professionals as possible will put forward the names of local organisations that aim to bolster financial wellbeing across Australia – the grants rely on the nomination process as organisations can’t apply themselves.
“Our goal is to help Australians build stronger financial futures because we know that improving financial wellbeing makes a real difference to people’s lives. These grants will help empower individuals and communities in need to achieve greater financial stability and independence," she said.
Through its annual Make the Difference! Grants program, Future2 has committed $1.8 million in grant funding to over 180 community programs since 2007.
Ms Berry says improving financial literacy is essential to helping Australians grappling with the cost-of-living crisis.
“In 2024, 12 grassroots programs made a tangible impact—some spending as little as $50 per participant to deliver long-lasting change.
“For example, last year’s grant winners included a financial literacy program for First Nations communities in remote Australia; an organisation that runs workshops to help female survivors of domestic violence to be financially secure; as well as a program to support disadvantaged young Australians transitioning into the real world of jobs.
“These programs are essential support and education systems for many Australians and we are proud to continue backing them with this year’s grants program,” Ms Berry says.
“We are grateful to our strategic partner, AIA Australia, for its generous support of the Make the Difference! Grants Program. AIA is committed to helping Australians live healthier, longer, better lives, including by championing financial wellbeing. Through this partnership, AIA is helping empower disadvantaged Australians with the knowledge and confidence to take control of their financial futures.”
