MEDIA RELEASE: Talaria Asset Management has appointed Lance Oliver to the newly created role of Head of Sales.
Based in Talaria’s Melbourne office, Mr Oliver will lead the business’s expanding business development team and help support the strong growth of the Talaria Global Equity Fund.
Before joining Talaria, Mr Oliver spent over 13 years at Challenger in a number of business development roles, including leading its national distribution team. His experience also includes distribution roles with Perpetual Asset Management as well as ownership of an independent private wealth advisory firm.
Mr Oliver’s appointment follows the hiring of Sam Dowling as sales director for New South Wales and Western Australia in June this year.
Talaria CEO Jamie Mead says Mr Oliver brings invaluable knowledge and experience to the team.
“With over two decades of experience spanning funds management and retirement income strategy distribution, Lance will be a huge asset to the Talaria team,” Mr Mead says.
Mr Mead added that Talaria’s Global Equity Fund continues to perform strongly even in the face of an uncertain outlook, with a total return during the 12 months to October of 11.80 per cent, a more than 16 per cent outperformance over the MSCI World ex Aust benchmark.
“We have created significant growth across a broad range of investors over the last year, highlighting the value of our unique and alternative approach to global equity investing at a time when it is most needed.”
Mr Oliver holds a Bachelor of Commerce & Bachelor of Information Systems from the University of Tasmania and a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning from the Securities Institute of Australia. He is also a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®).
