MEDIA RELEASE: ECP Asset Management has appointed Lachlan Hodgkinson as business development manager to expand the company’s national product distribution.
This will bring ECP’s institutional distribution in-house, taking over from Principals Funds Management.
Mr Hodgkinson joins ECP from GMO Australia Limited, where he was responsible for institutional, wholesale and consultant relations, and business development throughout Australia.
While at GMO, Mr Hodgkinson spent time overseas in London and Singapore, working with institutional, family office, and private clients. He has also held roles at Dimensional Fund Advisors Australia and van Eyk Research in business development and research capacities.
Founder and Chairman at ECP Asset Management, Dr Manny Pohl, said that the hire of Mr Hodgkinson is a key step in the development of ECP for 2022 and beyond.
“We are moving into a new phase at ECP as we look to expand our product offerings for our clients.
“It makes sense, and it is the right time, to bring Lachlan on board to further build the distribution of our funds by bringing the capability in-house.”
Dr Pohl also said that Mr Hodgkinson’s local and global experience will blend well with ECP.
“Lachlan’s knowledge of various markets will help add to ECP’s local and global outlook and help with the company’s growth and expansion,” said Dr Pohl.
Mr Hodgkinson has a Bachelor of Business (Finance) with Distinction from Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, with a funds management extension. He has also passed Level I of the CFA Program.
